How To Play Acrostics

You will see a grid on the right side of the screen. When completely filled in, this grid contains a quotation from a published work. The author's name and the title of the work are used to create the clues and answers on the left side of the screen.

The clues on the left side of the screen are designed to suggest the answers that follow. The first letters of all of the answers spell out the author's name and the title of the work.

You may fill in the answers on the left side of the screen, as well as the grid on the right side of the screen simply by highlighting the space of your choice. You may highlight spaces by clicking them, or by navigating with the arrow keys once a space has been highlighted.

Once a space has been selected, you may enter in a character using the keyboard, or by clicking on the letter bar at the top of the screen. You may delete old characters by entering new characters, by pressing the delete or backspace keys, or by clicking the appropriate icon to the right of the letter bar.
